My Wedding Photographer Bucket List: Three Venues I Would Love to Photograph

There are certain wedding venues that make you stop scrolling for just a moment.

You can already picture the bride walking through the doors. The groom seeing her for the first time. The quiet moments between the big ones. Candlelight glowing as the evening unfolds, flowers filling the space, and a couple completely wrapped up in the significance of the day.

As a wedding photographer, I have a little list of venues that I would absolutely love to photograph.

Not simply because they are beautiful, but because I can already see the photographs I would create there.

These are three of the venues currently sitting at the top of my wedding photographer bucket list.

1. The Jubilee Woods | Lawrenceburg, Tennessee

The Jubilee Woods immediately caught my attention because of its beautiful Glass Chapel.

There is something incredibly timeless about a chapel filled with natural light. As a photographer, I can already imagine the way that light would move through the space, creating soft, romantic images without taking away from the emotion of the moment.

I can picture the bride arriving, the anticipation before the ceremony, and that beautiful moment when she walks toward the groom.

And then there is the rest of the wedding day.

The kind of day where we have time to step away from the celebration for a few quiet portraits. A bride and groom surrounded by beautiful scenery, just taking in the fact that they are finally married.

For me, a venue like this creates so much possibility for photographs that feel elegant and genuine while still being completely centered around the couple.

The Glass Chapel alone is enough to put The Jubilee Woods on my list.

2. Barnsley Resort | Adairsville, Georgia

There are places that feel beautiful, and then there are places that feel like they have a story.

Barnsley Resort is one of those places for me.

The Manor House Ruins and Pavilion create the most romantic, timeless atmosphere. There is something about the setting that feels almost European in its character, while still feeling warm and inviting.

I can already imagine an elegant wedding day unfolding among the ruins, followed by portraits that feel effortless and editorial without losing the emotion of the day.

And then there is the garden.

The garden is stunning.

As a photographer, I immediately start thinking about all the little moments that could happen there. A bride walking through the garden with her bouquet. A quiet portrait of the newlyweds together. Family photographs surrounded by beautiful scenery. Those in-between moments when the couple forgets the camera is even there.

Barnsley Resort is the kind of venue where I could photograph an entire gallery and still feel like there was more to discover.

It has that rare combination of romance, history, elegance, and natural beauty that makes a wedding gallery feel timeless.

3. Macca Villa at Riverside | Murfreesboro, Tennessee

Macca Villa at Riverside is a completely different kind of beauty, and that is exactly why it made my list.

It is modern.

It is elegant.

It is clean and sophisticated.

And I absolutely love the possibilities that creates for wedding photography.

Their black and white chapel gives a bride the perfect canvas for her wedding design. Whatever colors you choose for your wedding day can truly stand out against that timeless backdrop.

Imagine soft florals, dramatic florals, classic white flowers, romantic blush, bold color, or something completely unique to you.

The space allows your wedding style to become part of the photograph.

And then there is the kissing tree.

Yes, you could even get married beneath the kissing tree.

I can already picture the ceremony photographs, the portraits afterward, and those beautiful editorial-style images of a newly married couple surrounded by their closest friends and family.

Macca Villa feels like the perfect choice for the couple who wants their wedding day to feel sophisticated, modern, and completely their own.

These three venues are very different from one another, but they all have something in common.

They give a couple the opportunity to create a wedding day that feels beautiful without feeling temporary.
